Get a load o’ this racism!

Here are two similar images, depicting two different instances of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Click on each in turn to enlarge, and see if you can spot the difference between the two. (Hint: read the captions at the top, right of each photo.)

That's right, the white couple could afford backpacks in which to place the food they were able to forage for themselves. Meanwhile, the black gentleman had to ‘loot’ a garbage bag in which to store all the food he has foraged for his extended family.

There’s a joke about an accountant and a lawyer, both holidaying in the Carribean — both able to do so from insurance pay-outs. “My house burnt down,” the lawyer explains. “Mine was destroyed by flood,’ says the accountant. The lawyer thinks for a moment, then asks, “how do you start a flood?”

Clearly, the black gentleman has worked out the answer to the lawyer’s question, seeing as he used one to hold up a grocery store!
